FAQ about 35mm Film camera

Q: Does the Olympus Trip 35 need batteries?

A: Good news — it doesn’t! The Trip 35 uses a selenium light meter powered by light, so you never need to worry about batteries. Just load your film and you’re ready to shoot.

Q: What kind of film can I use?

A: All of our cameras take standard 35mm film, which is still widely available. We recommend ISO 100–400 film for best results. You can choose between color or black & white, depending on your style.

Q: Are the cameras tested before shipping?

A: Yes. Every camera is fully tested and lovingly restored in Japan. We check the lens, shutter, light meter, and advance mechanism to make sure it’s in excellent working order before it leaves our shop.

Q: What comes with the camera?

A: Each camera includes a lens cap and hand strap. Some listings also come with a starter roll of film, so you can begin shooting right away. Please check the individual product description for details.

Q: Do you offer a warranty?

A: Yes. We offer a 100-day warranty on all cameras. If you encounter any problems, simply contact us and we’ll make it right.

Q: How should I take care of my film camera?

A: Store your camera in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight and humidity. After use, remove the film and keep the lens cap on. With a little care, your camera will stay in great condition for many years to come.

Q: Should I keep the lens cap on?

A: Yes. Lens caps protect the lens from dust and scratches, and we recommend keeping the cap on whenever you’re not shooting. It also helps prolong the life of the selenium light meter.

Q: Are there any useful items to have on hand?

A: We recommend a simple air blower, which blows away dust and dirt from the lens without touching it. You can find them easily at camera shops, large electronics retailers, or online stores such as Amazon.
