How We Grade Film Cameras

At Contrail Camera, we take great care in inspecting, servicing, and testing each vintage camera to ensure it is in perfect working condition. We only offer cameras that have been fully tested and function flawlessly. All cameras come with clean, clear lenses and viewfinders.

We then grade the external condition based on appearance and signs of use, as outlined below:

🟢 **Excellent (Like New)**
- Fully functional (tested with film)
- Very clean with minimal to no signs of wear 
- Great for gifting or collecting
- *The strap eyelets may show some wear, which is natural for a camera over 50 years old, but overall the condition is very clean.*

🔵 **Good (Visible Wear)**  
- Fully functional (tested with film)  
- Noticeable signs of use, such as small scuffs, scratches, or dents  
- No effect on performance or image quality
